What was the coolest hitchhiker you ever picked up?

When I used to pick up hitchhikers on a regular basis, most of the people were really sad and bizarre. Often they seemed to have mental issues. No one was ever aggressive toward me; but none of them were cool people or people I'd want to be friends with. Interesting conversations and I think it is good to open yourself up to that kind of dialogue from time to time.

Some highlights of bizarre:

  1. One guy was telling me about his crazy ex wife who is "one of those blacks". He was telling me all about black women's weaves and the work that goes into it. He then revealed to me that he had a bunch of her weaves in his bag and had grabbed them after his last encounter with her as retribution. He was heading to Detroit to stay with his cousin.

  2. I had a guy tell me in depth about the illegal operation he was moving up to Michigan to be a part of. Apparently they were stripping old tread off of semi tires, cutting new tread into them, and selling them back to truckers. This is illegal and dangerous. I dropped him off at a burger king and recommended a shelter not far from there.

  3. Had a guy who was convinced that he could channel an angel who met Jesus (don't remember what the angel's name was, just that he med Jesus). He was making his way to the city to meet with a Pastor he "had correspondence with".
