Im a rational person and I dont really believe in the supernatural. I believe that there is a lot we do not know and some of it can be just as mysterious as magic. But everything can inevitably be explained by hard science. And where that fails or falls short, metaphysical philosophy can have a crack at it.

Nevertheless one of my most prominent memories when I was 7-9 years old was seeing a ghost. Im willing to believe it was my imagination and/or having just woken up and hallucinating in a semiconscious state. Except that I have hallucinated before to varying degrees (auditory and visual) from different sources (sleep deprivation, waaaay too much weed, oxygen deprivation, and the already mentioned "waking up" but still in a dream state). Now the distinct thing about hallucinations that I have experienced is that they are incorporeal and fade away or escape your sight when focused on. That ghost and I locked eyes and he did not fade. I could describe him or her but it creeps me out to do that since its face was half decayed and was dressed(?) in a canvas cloak.

Something caught my attention and instinctively looked away but immediately went back and the ghost was gone. Spooky but ultimately uneventful.
