I had been dating my first GF for 3 weeks we were both in the 4th grade and I wanted to give her a gift. I proceeded to raid my moms jewelry box and found a ring that I thought wouldn’t be missed. I gave it to my GF at recess who showed it off to all of her girl friends . I went home so proud of myself until my mom summoned me to the kitchen and said she had received a call from my GF’s mom. It turns out the ring I stole was my grandmothers engagement ring that was worth $20,000 and was engraved with their wedding date inside the band. My mom retrieved it and I decided to eat lunch in the bathroom for a month trying to avoid my GF in embarrassment.
