2 years ago during my first ever smear test I was found to have abnormal cells, CIN 2 wide spread, I then had a loopelectrosurgical procedure (LEEP) to remove the cells. 6 months later I had my check up, the abnormal cells came back, CIN1 this time. Was told they didn't want to do another procedure as I was young and hadn't had kids yet (the first procedure already meant I'd have a premature labour and they didn't want to keep hacking away at my cervics) so it was something they'd keep an eye on with an annual smear - to make sure it doesn't escalate. Lately I've been having some really concerning symptoms (pain and bleeding during sex) but I've just been ignoring them - I'm absolutely terrified and I'm just pretending everything is okay. I'm now waiting in A&E with severe abnormal pains, I thought I could wait it out until my next smear in a couple of months. I am now even more scared that I've really messed up and made it worse.
