I wanted to be a voice actor and have something to do with video games, now you have to understand two things: when I was a kid; high end PC games were of a quality that a free (see: buggy) mobile game shits all over. Nobody really understood 'gaming' and it was about as career viable as a professional toenail collector.
Also, nobody wanted to hear a nasally Australian accent coming from their anime or Saturday morning cartoons.
I spent a few years animating little projects that I voiced, and voiced a few little tidbits in other peoples work that mostly went into portfolios for uni applications, I guess I got my wish there,
I also help out on a friends twitch stream and am waiting for my new PC to be built so I can stream some of my own.
I currently work for a charity, this gives me extra time in the week (low hours at work) to get my personal passions up and running, I'm currently working on setting up a local community gaming night.
All in all not bad, but it took until my 30s to say "fuck it, ima chase some dreams"
