What did you see that you definitely weren’t supposed to see?

During some civil unrest in my country, a couple years back, a supermarket was burned down by "looters and rioters" in my home town, with three of them being trapped inside and dying in the fire. The thing is, a friend of mine who lived right by the supermarket was streaming the riots on facebook from his window when the whole thing was going down, and me and about 3 or 4 other people watching it saw an unmarked van going into the supermarket a few minutes before the fire started, and then leaving through the same exit just moments after it did. We just kind of assumed that was the same looters that started the fires, since that lined up with the official story.

Flash forward to the week after and there are unconfirmed reports of the police starting fires to burn bodies of protestors they'd shot and pin the fires on them, with the official cause of death being noted as being caught in their own fires. All of which happened in insured properties close to where protests were being held.

The part that freaks me out is that nothing ever came of that. Some of the police was charged with everything from rapes to straight up torture during the riots, but the whole "killing people and burning the bodies" thing was never even officially acknowledged even to deny it. The conspiracy part of my brain thinks my friend may have accidentally captured footage of one such instance.
