What did they used to tell you all the time?

"You are my favorite person"

"I want to break up"

"I need some time and space for myself"

"When we don't talk often enough I feel like our relationship doesn't exist"

"If you didn't _______ I wouldn't _________."

And my "favorite"... "I feel that becoming more aware of myself has broken me" in various ways said. Like god damn it. Being more aware of yourself does not break you, but it might break an illusion that one is perfect. There's a big difference between becoming coignizant of your pre-existing issues vs. causing them in someone else. Also I think I will never again try to be a therapist for my partner. Not my place.
