After I've finished highschool I stopped talking to all my old friends and got new friends instead. We got our yearbooks about a week before the last day of classes, so I asked my friends to sign it. My 'best friend' (or so I thought) wrote: "thanks for doing my homework". In my mind I was only helping him during the hour-long lunch break, but I work quickly and before I know it I've complete all his and my other close friend's homework and assignments by telling them what to write. It was only after I saw what they wrote that I realized my 'friends' were just using me.
After the last day of classes, out of sheer luck, my Dad drove by some guy from one of my classes who was walking near my house, and after I told my Dad that the guy is in my class, my Dad decided to do what Dad's do and embarrass me. He yelled out the window in our rare European language (we've immigrated to Canada from Europe) what translates to: "hey random dude, tell me, do you know this guy hiding under the car window?" For the record, I only knew one other person in school who can speak my first language, so this was totally out of the blue. The guy looked inside, and said in our language: "yes, I know BeautyIsDumb, he's from my physics class."
That guy became my best friend and only friend until university.
