What did your job want you to hide from customers?

Not exactly on par with the topic but pretty close I think.

I work as a consultant for a very large company. I manage one of their outsourced teams. The outsourcing company that we use was trying to move our team to another location. Thing is, they were leasing space from a shit company next door, ripped up carpets, mold, water damage, lights hanging from the ceiling, rats everywhere.

The outsourcing scum circumvented me and told my client "It's a new location, just as nice as the current location. It's just next door!".

I took pictures of the place and sent it over to my client. They were disgusted and angry. The outsourcing company almost lost the contract over this, they did however lose all of my and my clients trust. Now they don't speak and everything goes through me. That ended their deal with the office next door as they had nothing else to do over there. I also got us a nice discount because of the attempted shenanigans. All in all, their blunder was my success and made me look awesome to the client.
