My story: In middle school I had a science teacher who was mentally ill. She was also addicted to pain killers and was a "recovering alcoholic" (her own words) who still kept multiple wine bottles in her mini fridge. I also saw beer cans and pill bottles sprawled out on the floor of her car when she asked me to unload some stuff from her trunk. Almost everyday she would make us do extremely complicated assignments that weren't necessarily advanced but just overly convoluted, and if we did them "wrong" or not in time she would yell at us and give us detention. She also was infertile because she got poisoned by something and would always lament that she wanted children but "not like this". We found out that she had applied to be a chemist but was always fired or turned down because she was an "emotional mess" (the great uncle of a kid in our school owned a pharmacy and told us that she had applied but he had to turn her down). She also left class for entire WEEKS without getting a sub to fill in (we had a whole week without a teacher once). She told us all about her various disorders for some reasons, most extensively her bipolar disorder. She would snark at us one minute and then be nice to us the next. During one of her lectures she told us that instead of minerals we should be talking about abortions and we had an entire week where she told us about the importance of abortions and then would make really creepy abortion jokes aimed at female students like "i feel like sarah would know a lot about abortions". Anyway, she also told us about her crack addiction when she was a stripper (i really, really wish i was making this up) and how she would "mount that silver pole one last time" because she wanted to take up stripping in her 60's. She got fired when she came to school high out of her mind She was usually at least buzzed but she was full out TRIPPING this time. Anyway, I went up to her to ask her a question and she was furiously typing but the monitor was black and not turned on. We fucked with her the whole day, but then when another teacher came by to ask for supplies they noticed she was acting weird and alerted the principal. Hated that lady so much.
