What didn't you like about AEW last night.

I enjoy AEW every week and I enjoyed last night but I agree with the opinions I’ve seen that said it was a comparatively ‘weak’ episode especially considering it was the go home for their ppv.

The thing I personally disliked about the episode is that there was far too much ‘ga ga’. Why is Moxley facing the lawyer in the main event segment of the show? Whilst the MJF beatdown was decent, the entire lawyer thing devalues everything that came before it. The FTR/Omega and Page segment leaned far too much into acting rather then a professional wrestling feud. The battle royale brawl felt awkward with the amount of moving parts. The matches on the show wernt particularly good, other than the Thunder Rosa and Serena match.

I think in recent weeks AEW have tried to do too much hokey ‘storyline’ stuff as opposed to just building matches people want to see and using that as the centre piece of a storyline. Feels like their dangerously close to falling into a WWE-esque pattern of nonsensical soap opera storylines when they really don’t need to.
