What "diet" do you follow?

My current diet is as follows:

Mostly whole foods plant based, most meals technically vegan but not strictly. I still eat the occasional single egg or tiny portion of meat with my veggies and grains, maybe once every 1-3 days.

Almost all beverages are water, sparkling water, or unsweetened tea.

The most important thing in any diet is, if you're eating anything at all from a package, you need to understand the labels and ingredients. MOST foods will be better for you the closer they are to their natural state. You want a low number of ingredients, not one that spans the whole package.

The other most important things? Get enough fiber (everyone says 'eat more fiber'. They're right. EAT THE DANG FIBER), drink lots of unsweetened fluids, don't eat too much salt, and avoid as much added sugar as possible. Make sure to get enough fats and protein though. Trust me when I say there are a lot of delicious plant foods that have fat and protein.

Avocados are, like. Amazing. Just add a little sprinkling of salt/pepper/garlic/cumin/cayenne and smack that on top of some salad or a black bean salsa bowl or a nice piece of 9-grain bread...Hoo boy. And walnuts. Gotta love walnuts in some oatmeal in the morning. Almond milk and fresh fruit in there too, of course.
