What do you do for work?

I work as an IT-tech for my country's police agency. Taking calls, but mostly being available to fix any problems that arise. There's a lot of 24/7 work so some systems can't have any downtime if it can be helped. We fill the role as both tech support and Incident Manager when we work shift hours. It's pretty nice work, decently paying and I enjoy helping our officers.

I don't always work night, we do 3-shifts, day evening and nights. Switching back to days is honestly the worst, and our managers don't really understand how big of a toll working 7 nights and then immediately going back to dayshift can be(even with a few days off). I always try to stick to a soft curve of working nights - evenings - days - evenings -nights but it doesn't always work out that way. If I could work only evenings and nights I would prefer that, as I could keep myself permanently on that side of the clock.
