what does death feel like when your being sucked out of life?

I’m replying to you in /r/help, but this question is pretty relevant to myself. I had a serious heart attack that resulted in me going into cardiac arrest at just 40 years old. So, for a period of time, I was basically dead.

What happens when you die? What does it feel like? For me, I had more than half a dozen nurses, doctors, and a cardiologist working as fast as they could to prep me for the cath lab to receive stents when my heart stopped.

What did that feel like? I felt mostly fine and then suddenly felt very dizzy for a second or two, and then lights out. Once your heart stops beating, you lose consciousness almost immediately. That could have been the end for me, but it wasn’t because I was surrounded by all of the professionals and all of the equipment needed to start administering CPR, and then jolt me back to life.

That jolt is something I totally felt. It felt like my head exploded, and then I was conscious again and very confused. I think I remember kind of screaming out in confusion about what just happened, and then a nurse explained to me that my heart had stopped, and they had to hit me with the defib to hopefully resuscitate me. Luckily, it worked.
