What does it mean for a man to be sexy?

There are individual preferences, but statistically, those individual preferences are going to lean heavily towards the conventional standard of beauty.

This means that being conventionally attractive puts the odds in your favor, because the chances of you being attractive to a random person of the opposite sex means are higher, which means that people you hit on are going to be more receptive to your advances.

So it makes sense to put yourself in that advantageous position where most people of the opposite sex would see you as physically attractive.

You can't say that any one body type is good over another. People are just too different

So, you think that if we'd ask 100 random men in the 25-30 category to vote "hot or not", then an obese woman would get an equal amount of votes as someone who looks like Megan Fox?

Or that if we ask 100 women ages 25-30 to vote "hot or not" then someone who looks like Joe Manganiello and some obese neckbeard would get an equal amount of votes?

Can you explain why wouldn't they get an equal amount of votes if everything is random like a coin toss?

It's hard to accept that because it means you have to do more work in figuring out each individual person you meet instead of assuming stuff about them based on a few things you see first.

We are talking about physical attraction here, so there's nothing to figure out there, people are either attracted to you or not.

But the odds of them being attracted to you depend on how close or how far you are from the conventional standard of beauty for your gender.

Now, that's not to say there aren't conventional standards for beauty that lots of people hold up as ideal, but that's a broad statistic, which is not something you should apply to individuals that you meet.

Again, it's about the odds, and when it comes to physical attraction, people either find you attractive or not, this is not something you "figure out", all you can do is put odds in your favor.

It seems to me that you are in some sort of denial of reality. Yes, if your aim is to put odds in your favor, then there are body types that are "better" than others, and these are what fall within the conventional standards of beuty. It's simple statistics.

P.S. >I can't agree with this. i know so many women who find muscly men to be gross.

Women often find body builders gross, but finding fit guys with normal muscular bodies gross is rather rarely, I can think of only one woman who doesn't like that.
