What does raising minimum wage do to other wages?

No it requires a differential of wealth between the population, not poverty stricken population

No, it actually does require poverty especially for a middle class to exist. In the west we outsource poverty, none of the cheap products you take for granted exist without a poverty stricken labour force in manufacturing.

and then one day we realize we can't just move our problems around geographically

We have a little over 90 more counties left to exploit. By the time it happens the power will have shifted and the western empire will have fallen to a new power who will exploit us for cheap labour. This wasn't invented yesterday.

Again, no. Wealth needs to move for capitalism to function. There needs to be a constant flow between the various elements of the economy, including the lower rungs. People need to be able to spend. That's how company's make profit. If they all don't pay their people enough then people can't buy their shit. Concentrations of wealth do need to form, but constant concentration into fewer and fewer hands eventually stifles growth and leads to collapse.

Capitalism works on the basis of scarcity. Whilst you are right that it absolutely does require spending, if there is too much money in the market the value decreases (ie. Inflation). Economic mobility is important to a healthy society, not necessarily a healthy economy.

'that employer must increase'...? what? must increase what? it's not like they can't afford to pay their little worker bees a little more and still make obscene profits. if you bothered to look at any of the sources any of the people here have shown you you would see that.

Try reading the rest of the comment before you reply. I'll tell you what, take half of your regular income and give it to a complete stranger, do this every single time you are paid. After doing this for awhile tell me that you don't wish you could keep your money and not give it away.

Profit is what industry is built on, without profit there is no motivation. In addition the biggest employers are public traded companies, meaning the have a legal obligation to generate the largest profit they can in order to best benefit their shareholders. Shareholders mind you who are everyday people who have invested in these shares as part of their retirement funds.

You're out of your depth my dear cheesey bacon. One can not simply demand a better station in life, it takes work and effort and is never guaranteed.
