What Does This Sub Think of the More "Problematic" Aspects of Aliens?

The best actor for the role doesn't mean you can cross racial boundaries.

It appears Amazon would strongly disagree with you:

If you're brave enough, you can venture into various subreddits for Amazon's adaptations of Tolkein's and Jordan's work, and say "Hey, in the books this character is X, but in the show this character is Y, what's up with that?" but I wouldn't recommend it. But Amazon's currently pushing a "Yes, you can cross racial boundaries, and should if that helps you meet your quota, but there will be a set amount of diversity and inclusion in your works, regardless of what the original source is." approach towards films and shows, and sometimes that means that you're picking the best actor, and crossing the boundaries that were originally established.
