What dreams/aims/goals do you have?

I don't think OP is referring to such jobs with life and death consequences. Many job postings these days for areas like retail, F & B jobs, hospitality jobs, admin jobs etc require years of experience and qualifications, which makes it difficult for mid-career switchers who want to try a new job or industry. A lot of the SkillsFuture courses require that you be in the industry in order to take the course or qualify for the grants. Without first hand experience, if you don't know whether the job/industry is something you'd like, it's hard to determine whether you should invest time and money to obtain the skills. I'm fine with accepting lower pay for a nurturing environment where one can learn the ropes while working, but it's hard to find such employers unless you're a fresh grad looking for an internship.
