So.... interesting story.... I made friends with this guy on vacation, we become very good buddies after we get back to our home city, turns out we both like the same music, both into DJing.... I show him my Traktor controller, he marvels at the stunning simplicity (and cost) of the device (older guy who DJed on Cd players his whole life), immediately buys himself one.

Then some 4 years later, the guy shows up to my house one night with his Ableton Push, Krk studio monitors, some M-Audio hardware device and says merry xmas, this is all for you. 4 months later I'd see him for the last time.... I have a 2012 Macbook Pro (2.9ghz core i7) and a PC desktop i5 4570. Guy inexplicably diaappeared, cell phone disconnected.

Now I'd like to honour his memory and his gift by really giving it a go at music production. My plan was to set up the speakers with my desktop computer which also has a 47" LED tv connected to it and use that to start my foray into producing deep house and tech house. I also have a pair of TMA-1's so I think its a decent start. Im not sure if Ableton software comes with the Push or whatever, but is there anything else you could recommend to do? Thanks kindly for any advice.
