I use the bear and tiger metaphor because so much of the rhetoric that so many women use to justify the ways they interact with men are pretty much the same things that people get told when dealing with dangerous animals. So many women treat men like they are some sort of wild animal that will attack them at any moment unprovoked, which is why I think it is an apt metaphor.

The safety precaution in question isn't an inconvenience to me, but it is yet another thing that makes me feel like I'm being treated like a wild animal and not person, I'm just tired of being treated as some sort of subhuman monster just because I'm a man, it's incredibly hurtful and dehumanizing to have to deal with that.
