What experience of yours was a "0/10, wouldn't recommend"?

This seems silly, but when I was younger, I wanted to know how hanging could possibly kill someone, cause it always seemed so easy to escape in like, Pirates of the Caribbean or some shit I was watching.

So I tried it against a doorknob with a cable, thinking there's no way I'd actually die. I mean it's a guitar cable, my shitty door (my family was poor so nice sturdy anything was off the table), and I was tying it around my neck at an amazing 2 feet (get this, I was gonna lean my body weight so I could always regain my footing--no suspension like in the movies). Don't you have to use a special knot or something, anyway?

Basically noped out in half a second, but my hands were so stupid from terror that they were basically fists trying to find the knot. And the radius where there was any slack was so low I couldn't even figure out where I could move my head. This lasted an additional 5-10 seconds. I almost passed out before I loosened the knot..

Turns out that a lot of people kill themselves this.
