What fact are you tired of explaining to people?

My original point had nothing to do with being offended. My original point was that as a diabetic I'm tired of having to explain the difference. Which was the point of the thread.

To move to YOUR point, I'm entitled to be offended by anything people say about the condition I live with every day that the world is so misinformed on and makes broad assumptions and lumps two entirely different groups of people under one nasty title. Until you live as a diabetic and hear the way people talk about you and your peers of the type II variety I'm not really concerned with how you feel about me being offended or that my one example didn't fit your criteria. The media portrays diabetics as fat lazy people, which for either type is not the case. People will say right to your face that it's all the sugar you ate and that "guess you better hit the gym" which isn't my type of diabetes, not exactly how the other type works and also rude. The point of being offended is that there are really awful labels out there associated with type II, which is often confused with type I so when someone goes for a double whammy and confuses the two and believes the nasty things associated with the condition, well that's how I got to where I was with the original comment.

And now I'm done. Thanks for letting me vent some of my diabetes frustrations, goodnight.
