Yeah, it sucks being a solid 7 and watching that shit happen too. It's way worse out here now than it was even just a few years ago.

Now, don't get me wrong, I have no delusions about myself. I'm not in that oft-cited '6"/6 figure/6 pack club' (I'm 5'11"/make like 90k/have 10 or so pounds of beer chub wrapped around my gut so close but no cigar) and I don't fault women for going after that. But fuck it's creating a glut where regular-ass dudes are left scratching their heads.

Personal experience: this happened with an ex of mine a few years ago. We were going really well and then Tinder really started to hit and she'd see all her friends with a new piece of arm candy every few weeks and I guess she got the bug in her, decided we "weren't really working out" anymore and wanted to try it herself. Of course after a while she was smart enough to figure out that none of those dudes actually gave a shit about her and were just running a giant train on Tinder (really, that guy that's already dumped 2 of your friends and was in a relationship with a total stranger to y'all immediately afterward ditched you too? you don't say!) and then suddenly realized what she had given up. I wish her the best, maybe she'll have a little more foresight about that kind of shit in the future but damn. Dating in a big city suuuuuuuuuuccccccckkkssssssssss now.
