What have you found to be most helpful in breaking your internet habit?

Long walks.

And, if internet is affecting your "real life" that much and you can't control your own desires and goals. I would search for help.

In the past I used to stay from 6 to 8 hours a day online, but I had my objectives and in the time I was offline I would fight for them. If you feel you are incapable to seek for things you are interested to improve your life, some real treatment may be required.

It is not just the time you are in, but the way you use this time, and the way you use your time outside the internet. Some people sleep all day long and waste their offline time. There are ways to improve your life using internet in a controlled way. You don't need to cut, just focus on your goals.
