What gear do you own and why do you have it?

Battle belt is the only thing I have right now that I would consider tactical gear. The reason behind its construction is two fold: indoor and outdoor shenanigans. Indoor mainly being home defense, outdoor is mostly at my friend's property, shooting around.

Right now, I use a 12 ga for home defense while I am slowly assembling my AR. Ammo is the main reason for the belt as well as access to my sidearm and immediate medical equipment should I, or anyone else, need it.

My current belt setup: * Two PPQ mag holsters (PPQ 9mm/TLR-1) * Two 12 ga pouches that each hold 12 rounds (Moss 590A1) * Sidearm * Flashlight * Detacheable medkit

Now at this is the point I will preemptively address the main criticism against having some sort of plan if one or more dangerous people break into my house. It usually goes: "Well if someone is ramming down your bedroom door with a nitroglycerin-filled sledge hammer in a PCP-induced fit of rage, are you just going to tell him to wait while you strap up your belt!?!?" No, the answer is no. I, like any well-prepared home owner, will soil my sheets in every manner.

Seriously though, the reason behind it is because it is quickly accessed, easy to snap on, and it will have everything I need on it in a familiar orientation. IF I have enough time to strap it on, I will. If not, I just won't use it. It's not like all of my guns just won't work if I don't have my belt on me.

I don't get why everyone wants to jump straight out of bed and Leroy Jenkins out of their room as fast as they possibly can into potential danger anyways. Slow down there Duke Nukem, why don't we come up with a quick game plan before immediately oper8ing the baddies by Goldberg Spearing them in the spleen with your akimbo glock 19s. Seriously. And I sound like the crazy one because I have this wild idea of putting a belt on when someone is in my house?

Also, people make it out like the first possible perception of any sound the intruder will make is when they are already in your room, getting underneath the blankets with you, asking you if you can "move over just a smidge." From my bedroom, I hear my roommate unlock the front door every night during the weekends, and as far as I know he's left no sign of forcible entry. So reason suggests that I might be able to detect an intruder, who may have used forced entry and who might be unfamiliar with my home layout, in enough time to put a belt on. Sorry, had to get into that, end of rant.

Also, I'm thinking about getting a PC so any suggestions I will appreciate!
