I think I’ve been pretty open that I’m not making a legal argument, and have agreed with you that legally it’s different matter. Also, if such a thing happened in America, it would then matter to the American justice system? It’s the matter of a government executing human being. So is execution wrong or not? It’s not a distraction, it’s taking the argument to it’s extreme to show the holes in absolutes. I don’t think it’s wrong to execute a war criminal, and I don’t think it’s wrong to execute a mass murderer, but I do think it’s wrong do execute someone without irrefutable evidence. I don’t think it’s wrong to execute adults who effectively imprisoned and tortured a little girl and forced her to give birth. I do think it’s wrong to execute a woman who may or may not have killed her husband and there is evidence either way. It’s not a distraction. Execution is execution. Sometimes I think it’s wrong and sometimes I don’t.
