Unpopular opinion and if you disagree don’t flame me- but the people’s understanding of the u.s. constitution. Primarily the 2nd amendment and why it is in place.

You can actually attribute this to the NRA in a lot of respects. They pushed the whole “it’s for hunting” idea when that is just a perk. Now most people believe that and that is why we are having out rights slowly stripping away.

It’s in place to literally PROTECT all other rights. In fact the 1st, 2nd, and 5th amendments used in conjunction technically protect the right to go and forcibly remove politicians from power if they are doing something that endangers the public safety. You might still get arrested for doing so but it would be a good case to bring up to the supreme court
