What is the greatest thing you have ever learned from a stranger?

Also, on my twentieth birthday, I gave out twenty flowers to strangers in exchange for the best piece of advice they ever received. There was a group of older men outside of a cigar shop that looked like they'd have something fun to offer. A man (that eerily looked like Elvis Presley) told me he used to be a bartender, and while at first he loved it, he eventually began to hate it. His boss finally told him, "You can go out that door right now and get anything you want in this life. But the only thing you can't get back is one more second. Don't waste your time". He quit his job and began a life of adventure where I caught him outside of a cigar shop with his buddies. He was grateful for the flower and I think of him often.
