What do you guys think about male cosmetic surgery?

I think about it the same as I do female cosmetic surgery. It's a sliding scale.

  • Masking some socially awkward abnormality (birth defect, major burns, etc...). I entirely understand and I'd do the same.
  • "Minor" procedures like a hair transplant, laser hair removal or varicose vein removal I'm also sympathetic to. They're low risk, relatively low cost, and if they give someone a boost of self-confidence, more power to them. This is in the same realm as a significant portion of orthodontia.
  • Major, invasive procedures used to significantly alter your appearance are too far for me personally. For me to consider them I'd think I had become more vain / insecure than I ever hope to be. I suppose some individuals can do this healthily, but there's certainly a point it goes too far for everyone.
