This turned to seen longer than I thought.

I had a weird dream the other night where I was back in high school. Everything was as it was 17 years ago when I was a senior. The principal walks up to me and tells me I have detention for not being in dress code (I'm wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes when I'm supposed to be wearing a collared shirt, slacks, and brown or black shoes).

After he gives me the detention I have to get to my next class but I don't know where the classroom is. So I spend the whole period trying to avoid anyone who would notice that I'm skipping class. While I'm evading the authority, I run into my fifth grade teacher in the hallway and wonder why she's there. I end up in the basement where I go to an out-of-the-way bathroom. I look at my reflection in the mirror which shows how I look in 2017 and not how I looked back in 2000.

After I get over the shock, I go to the principal's office. I take the detention slip from my pocket, tear it up, and say "I'm too old to come back. I quit". Then I leave the building, at which point I wake up.
