What do you guys think is most wrong in the current state of humanity?

overpopulation of the planet

Is largely a nonsense. The Earth is not overpopulated, the problem is the dominant economic system this vast population has to deal with, namely Capitalism and how absurdly wasteful and moronic it is.

There really wouldn't be much of a problem if like 90% of the world lived off renewable energy sources, gave up crap like plastic for the most part and existed in self-managing, self-sufficient communities rather than countries and cities dependent on global trade. But none of that is possible because fossil fuels have been more profitable for ages now and the same goes for the constant use of materials like plastics and we know what Capitalist entities follow more than anything and to the detriment of the entire species if need be; profit. Plus, it's not like the economic elites of the world, as conspiracy theorist-y as this sounds, want people to start economically and politically self-managing and basically creating self-sufficient (anti-globalization) communities that mostly just exchange knowledge and people with each other rather than being ultra dependent on resources from one another.

Besides, it's a bit of a riot considering that much of what's destroying the world (i.e. in terms of fossil fuel usage) comes from the upper-classes rather than the millions to sometimes billions in places like rural areas of India, Africa and China who hardly have any carbon footprint at all, but they're going to have one in time, make no mistake, and this shitty system they were born into is going to make sure it's as wasteful as things are in New York, Dubai, Hong Kong or wherever.

This overpopulation stuff also comes off as somewhat veiled, albeit unintentional on most people's parts, racism. As though the West seriously thinks the core problem is that colored people in the 3rd world are breeding too much and not the shitty global system they've pretty much forced onto their countries. Ironically, by the way, once most of the 3rd world develops to be similar to the first world, birth-rates will inevitably plummet to 1-2 children per family and the 3rd world will be no different from Europe or the US where populations are beginning to struggle with simply hitting replacement numbers:

This is already happening in urban areas of the 3rd world where there's a higher standard of living and it's pointed out in the video. Basically, the world population isn't going to just keep growing and will probably halt at around 10-12 billion people by current projections. But good luck with 10-12 billion people living under Capitalism.
