What happened to the gaming community?

I think gaming has become less of "something you enjoy" and more "something to let out your rage". It also seems that it has become a chore to quite a lot of people.

I don't know but, I think it's because of the increasing use of electronics, cause if you insult someone to their face you see it makes them feel bad right? But if it's online you don't get that, you don't get the chance to develop empathy. So it becomes a normal thing for people growing up now, it's just what they do, I'm not sure they're aware of it half the time. I still catch myself doing it constantly through practising mindfulness.

Maybe the media might have something to do with it too, because the majority of things on their show are negative, and humans tend to dwell on the negative, if all you see is "Terrorist attack!" and etc every day on the news it leads to people thinking "Oh look, another one" and it becomes a daily thing. This will end up affecting how they act.

I don't know if I'm wrong or right, I have no evidence and this is just what I understand from little things I pick up in books and video games.
