What happened in school that still pisses you off when you think about it today?

A state history class way back in HS. The teacher was a coach and your typical 'macho' kinda guy. He was always creeping on girls and constantly favoring them too. The moment I really remember is during lecture one day. I was really quiet and reserved during the early days of HS (I'm the exact opposite now and people can't get me to shut up). Art and my humor were to two things I really had going for me so I'd constantly doodle or jot down ideas. These were my awkward ice-breakers and my interests.

During this lecture the teacher approached my desk. I wasn't disrupting anything, wasn't being noisy and was actually two chapters ahead in notes since I'd keep to myself and read. I had my notes out, had been glancing up to see his specific points of interest in the chapter, but had a small side sheet I was sketching on and writing down jokes. The room was dimmed since it was one of those old projectors with a bulb/transparent sheet so I have no idea why he just saw me and decided "Yeah, that guy."

Teacher: (stops lecture, walks up and picks up my sketch/joke sheet) "Oh! So what are we working on here?" Me: "....I've been doing my notes and paying attention. Those are just sketches." Teacher: (looks at my notebook and sees I'm actually ahead) Teacher: (tosses sketch sheet back on my desk, not handing it to me) "This kind of stuff isn't going to get you anywhere, Mr. (insert my last name). Pay attention in class or I'll have you do (x amount) of extra questions at the end of each chapter."

In short though: fuck that teacher and his attitude. I didn't make a career out of my humor or art but they have lead to me gaining many good friends and staying sane in downtime. Hell, coming out of my shell and using my humor got me a girlfriend in my senior year. Where did that get me, Mr. Coach No-Fun-Allowed? In her pants.
