Me too. I have a cousin who was 17 and was caught sexually abusing his 9 year old cousin on his moms side of the family. His dad (my uncle) and his step mom didn’t tell me or my brother (we both have young kids) and thought the best solution was to send him to a troubled boys home for a few months but still not tell anyone.

The only reason that I found out was because my aunt ran into my sister in law and told her and my sister in law likes to gossip. I won’t even let my kids within 10 feet of him and I don’t care if it’s noticed or not. It’s disgusting that they just tried to sweep it under the rug and act like he was suddenly gone for no real reason. But my family also doesn’t like to deal with sensitive subjects (this is my dads side of the family) and is why they never found out what happened to me.
