What happened to this sub?

"Old User" here. This has been one of my most frequented subs for over 3 years now, and I agree. It seems like people are moving here from /r/WritingPrompts or /r/nosleep, where the stories start to sound convoluted and just outright fake full of 'witty' dialog as if life is a sitcom and you always have some cool witty response.

Or naming the threads. If you have a pt.1 pt.2 pt.3 etc just update your original post. Your writing about an encounter, not trying to impress us with your novel writing skills. Every time I see 'parts' I skip right past. They almost NEVER seem real.

Same with naming your threads something ominous and spooooooky like "She was a pretty girl" or some vague shit.

Lately I have been seeing a trend where people are giving crazy specific descriptions of stuff from their encounters. "He had a teal iPhone 6s with the new yeezy boosts and the limited edition beats headphones you can only find in a box of the Ethiopian version of Count Chocula." C'mon guys, you know you weren't noticing all of that shit.

Here I'll give an example of something that happened on Sunday night.

Thread name: Delaware Home Invasion (Link for proof)

Sunday night I was on my couch watching something on Netflix when I heard some commotion going on outside the apartment. Since there is always something going on in an apt complex I just paid it no mind and continued watching my show.

About 30 seconds later I hear screaming as if it's just outside my sliding door (first floor apartment). I get up to look out the door, but there is nobody there, yet I can still hear someone cry-screaming.

By the time I put my first foot outside of the threshold of my patio I hear vigorous banging on my apt door, along with the screaming sound I have been looking for.

I look through the peep hole in the door and see a lady probably around 40 banging on my door ans screaming for help. I grab the phone and call 911 to tell them what was going on and they said they were already in the area. Not wanting to open the door in case this was some type of scam I just kept looking through the hole.

A little while later the cops tell me that 5 men entered her house through an open window. She had a chance to flee while the other residents (and burglars) were still in the house.

Here is the info: https://doverpolice.org/2016/04/18/home-invasion-willis-road-4-18-16/

Suspected that one of the guys who broke into her house went on to break into another house 30 minutes later where he ended up shooting someone. https://doverpolice.org/2016/04/18/victim-shot-during-home-invasion-suspect-later-arrested-4-18-16/
