What is a hard pill to swallow for most people?

That Jesus didn't give any special privileges to Peter, nor to the Bishop of Rome. Peter himself calls Christ the "Rock of the Church" in his letters, and Saint Paul does the same. In the Acts of the Apostles, Peter speaks to his fellow bishops as an equal, and not as their head. Up until the schism between the east and west, the Bishop of Rome wasn't given any special privileges, and was chastised whenever they tried to assume power. The entire concept of the papacy is a heresy.

I was born and raised as a Catholic my whole life. It took me a year of back and forth debating with myself to change my mind, but in the end the Orthodox Church is the one true, holy and apostolic church. Catholics must accept this and return to communion with us.
