Not telling, but receiving.

My mother told me about my best friend passing after a long battle with leukemia. She says it’s the hardest thing she’s had to tell anyone, and it was apparent from her reaction and demeanor before she said anything. He just turned 17 and it sucked. Luckily I saw him a couple days before he passed, and I visited him in hospitals that he was staying at out of state in the months before he passed as his conditioning was getting worse.

I bent the rules a bit but I just need to talk about it, I’m still in the grieving process and only in high school. I’ve never experienced loss before so it sucks it had to be him.
