What harsh reality every teenager will face going into adulthood?

Oh hey, a hipster with wikipedia access. Thats thweet.

Bro, incredulous people don't go scour your post history and toss out increasingly vitriolic and...oddly sexual...insults because someone insulted the honor of the Spanish Dept of labor. Cmon man. Self awareness is a beautiful thing. Look, you're the one that first thought GDP was the end all be all of economic thinking

Its a pretty crucial indicator of an +economic powerhouse+, hipster.

I fucked you in the ass there You got a really weird sexual vibe in this comment man. Im confused. I thought being fat made me disgusting but youre jizzin and fuckin all over. Mixed signals, fam. (people really say fam?)

  • and proved you wrong, then you thought it was GDP per capita, once again proved you wrong because neither GDP nor GDP per capita are quality of life. *

GDP? No. GDP per capita is a quick and dirty indicator. Of course its not the whole story, but it trends that way very strongly. Youll note that all the america bashers tend to fixate on our relatively low GDP per capita.

And we still arent talking about quality of life. We are discussing the Spanish Economy on the World Stage. For the third time- Tapas, and Wine, and naps are very nice things. They arent the same as economic production.

And as Ive stated multiple times now. The question is not "does Europe have economic problems?" we all know that. The question is "why does spain have far worse economic problems than everyone else?"

They arent a little below Germany or Italy, theyre WAY below them. Spain in terms of ANY measurment-unemployment, GDP, per capita GDP, real growth, youth unemployment (critical and oft overlooked), economic diversity (70% service economy? Hoo boy.) and SO ON sucks. The one thing youve claimed as a positive is a high PERCENTAGE of growth, but those of us who actually studied useful things like "statistics" and "eighth grade math" instead of "ethpan~ol" in school can tell you that its really really easy for a shitty economy to show high growth percentages that dont mean diddly in actual terms.

And the problem with that assertion is it contradicts your other points. If spains 3.5% economic growth is spectacular and amazing, then why are you bitching and moaning about Germany? Their economic growth is 2 points behind Spains. If the RATE of growth is important, spain is winning, not Germany.

But you know thats bs, you just like citing the one stat that looks impressive to language arts majors.

You keep on circling back to the "Euros R Bad" thing, but Ive never claimed theyre good. What they are is an equal weight on everyones neck. If youre outperformed wearing weights, youll be out performed without them. Given that Spain's only significant economic boom happened under a Fascist goverment, and ended precipitously with the end of Fascism, its hard to argue poor Spain got loan-mugged by germany in an economic union that wouldnt exist for another 20 years.

Spain became a free state in 75. Germany in 1990, and Germany spent the next decade with a shitty economy. In other words, spain had a solid 25 year head start on the Teutonic economic machine and got snookered. Today, a nation that has existed since 1990 and spent the 1990s crawling out of the socialist hole essentially runs Europe. But sure, that mean ol' Euro introduced 20 years after the last time Spains economy was "ok" did the damage.

"The euro the euro" is the "robust" consensus. But not everyone is failing under the Euro. Theres nothing inherent about the euro or any ECB directive that favors Germany and Austria. So why are they top dog and spain begs for scraps?

Whats more, its ridiculous to pretend that riiiight up to 1993, Spain, Greece, Italy Portugal and Cyprus were wheeling and dealing while Northern Europeans peddled pencils in a cup to pay for olive oil. Spains economy has been good for 20 years out of the past 500. Germanys was great before their WAS a germany. So was the UKs, France, Austria etc etc.

The problem with these analyses is they're treating the euro as cause and not instrument. The economic situation of europe 2016 looks pretty much like the economic situation of europe in 1870 and the same rough order keeps establishing itself.

Take refugee in the fact that you're a wage slave in "an important country" that doesn't give enough of a fuck about you to have clean drinking water.

Thats why I don't live in cities with demmycrats, son. Right now, you're being what Ulyanov described as a "useful idiot.

Do people still do the thing where they act like knowing ol VIs real name makes them Mas Erudito? The economic consensus is robust, the Euro has destroyed the economies of many nations, amongst them Spain

There never WAS a Spanish Economy. This is the point you keep missing. Its not like Japan in the 90s. Spains economy always sucked. Arguably, the EU was the best thing ever for them. Here:

http://www.tradingeconomics.com/spain/gdp

Spains current economic woes are a small downturn after a huge rise. That chart goes back to the "spanish miracle" but youll notice shit takes off in the millennium.

Oer capita- better, but again- http://www.tradingeconomics.com/spain/gdp-per-capita Spain rockets up AFTER EU and is only now suffering a slight decline to the level of...what? 2007 or so?

http://www.tradingeconomics.com/germany/gdp-per-capita

Germany on the other hand, maintained a far more regular increase through the Soviets and reunification. Wheres the Austerity in 1980, when Spain was flatlined?

Economists seek proximate causes for essentially cultural phenomena. Im sure there was some fancy economic excuse in 1870, and 1980 and so on.

The fact is this. Over the course of centuries- Spain Italy portugal Cyprus etc have had terrible economies and Germany, austria, Netherlands, UK, Nords etc have had good ones. The only interruptions have been huge perturbations like war or worldwide depression.

You thought GDP was equivalent to quality of life, and once I jizzed on you there, you decided it was GDP Per Capita. Wrong again, jizzed on again,

Did I mention the weird sex vibe? Its weird.

For...however many times this is. We are not discussing quality of life. We are discussing economic power.

When we have discussed quality of life, Ive specifically stated that gdp per capita is a ROUGH and GENERAL indicator depending on other factors- or as la wik and its citations put it:

". GDP per capita is often considered an indicator of a country's standard of living;[2][3] although this can be problematic because GDP per capita is not a measure of personal income."

Which is exactly what Ive said.

Go beg for forgiveness, but not your little god, beg me.

For....impugning the good name of the Spanish economy?

* stop embarrassing yourself dancing, and stop hating people that aren't Puritans such as yourself.*

A. Is.. Is this Billy Madison? B. The irony of the same person demanding I CEASE THE DEGENERATE DANCING while accusing me of puritanism is....so nice. C. I never said anything about spains MORAL status. Ive repeatedly praised Wine, Tapas, and Naps. Sounds like a lovely place.

Its economy sucks. You agree its economy sucks. I say its economy has sucked since forever, you claim it was amazing riiiight up to...2008, 2010.

Also for a liberal type you're very judgemental, and have this weird sex thing. Look man, its OK to be gay. Even us puritans are cool with it

Just no naps. ;)
