What do you think or hope will happen/we'll learn in Season 3?

One thing I absolutely don't want is for Coop's story to end badly. I don't want him to die or end up in prison. The guy deserves a happy ending. If you read "My Life, My Tapes" you'll understand why that's so very true.

I hope that whatever Bob's done in the last 25 years while masquerading as Dale that he's done it secretly enough that if/when Coop gets back to himself it doesn't burn him.

My only evidence for the possibility of this is that all the long while Bob was Leland no one ever suspected Leland was an evil man. Obviously, Sarah Palmer was a miserably unhappy human being but to the rest of the world Leland seemed an up and up family man. So he appeared normal except when Bob would decide to do what Bob did. So maybe it's been the same way with Cooper.

That being the case, perhaps if Coop has been trapped on the other side all this long while maybe he's been genius enough to find a way out of the Black Lodge and into the White Lodge. Maybe he's spent these years exploring other dimensions, gaining knowledge and discovering the answers to the riddles of the universe.

Maybe he can come back armed with that knowledge and find a way to rid Twin Peaks of the evil once and for all.

See, now, I'd like that.

I'd like to see Truman having become Mayor. I'd like to see an older, not so emo James who has his shit together maybe running the Gas Farm. He and Donna are divorced, maybe. There was someone here who did some artistic renderings of the characters now and in that version Donna had embraced her parentage and was Ben Horn's protégé. I rather like that idea, too. Kind of mirrors the Pete/Catherine dynamic in a new generation. James/Pete, the working class guy and Donna/Catherine, the wealthy socialite and daughter of the local bigwig. Audrey was running One Eyed Jack's, scheming to take back what she saw as rightfully hers, what now belongs to Donna. Those drawings also had Bobby as Sheriff. I admit, I hadn't thought of him going that direction but the more I think about it, the more I like it. He grew up, wised up, straightened up, could totally work.

Whatever brings it all back together, I suspect Coop/Bob hasn't been in Twin Peaks all this time. Bob, in Coop's body, has a chance to get out of a small town and travel, do things in different places, keep himself from getting caught. So whatever happens, it's something that will bring Cooper back to Twin Peaks. I'm thinking it's perhaps not a new murder, but an old one. Something happens, something is uncovered, relating to Laura's murder that re-opens the case.

Since Sheryl Lee is confirmed as being in the series maybe, and I'm just throwing crazy talk out there, maybe a woman shows up claiming to be Laura Palmer. Maybe Laura, when she was killed by Bob, ended up in the Black Lodge, too and maybe after 25 years, she's found her way out, back to our world. Sheryl Lee, just like all of us, has aged in the last 25 years so having her play Laura, stuck in the afterlife, at the same age she was killed ain't going to work. So why not? Why not Laura Palmer, back from the dead? Now that'd be a hell of a thing...
