What if I DON’T have ADHD? Need help

Online tests really do not substitute a professional, but unless your insurance covers a specialist those can be out of the question for lots of people.

Having a child that is of a different n-type (sorry didn't know this sub was gross pfl) does mean you have a chance of being it, but it's not 100%. It could have come from either parent, or from something else.

My advice would be to try and seek an actual professional. If your doctor wants to try prescribing and seeing if it helps, then that might help, but it could also just make your anxiety worse(which doesn't necessarily mean you aren't adhd, just some meds work for others and some don't).

Ask your doctor to run you through adhd screening, there should be a list of questions they ask when trying to determine if this is a possible scenario.

Before this though, have you tried anxiety medications for anxiety? SSRI's can do a lot of things but in my experience never helped with my anxiety, but instead changed how my brain functioned which was bad. Maybe you could delay this and look into something for anxiety instead. Maybe a sleep aide or something you take as needed if you start getting really anxious?
