what if i just dont show up

so. what I did a few months ago was I left a note in the office saying that I quit and i left my vest and card there. Why? I called personnel earlier that day to let them know I had to take a medical leave and I didnt know how. There was no answer for a really long time, and so the associate who was transferring me told me it might just be better to show up at the office. So I do, and while Im entering the store I see the managers all walkin around the store. No biggie, as usual. I go over to one of them and told them abt what was goin on. They said they would be there shortly.

I waited two hours, only associates came in and out of the personnel office. I had to leave that night, and needed the help (it was a literally last minute mental hospital stay and I only had that day to gather my things and arrive at the hospital by 8pm)

it was 4pm, the hospital was 2 hours away.

I just got my stuff from my locker, and folded the vest really nicely on top of the desk, got my card and placed it on top along with the note saying that Id been waiting to be attended for over 3 hours and left my name and win number (not sure if that was necessary but i was mad and didnt care lol) and left the building.

Lemme add, while I was exiting the building I saw the manager i talked to standing by the money center, on her phone, but saw me walk out of the building.

My schedule was taken down after a couple of days. I didn’t even get a call.

I stopped going to the store for a few months, and a couple weeks ago i decided to go since its literally the closest one to my new apartment.

They all seemed to forget the incident because they all said hi and how I was doing lol (its a pretty small walmart- the smallest one in this state, and i worked overnights. I went at night.), even asked me to come back and work for them.

take what you want from that, my input is that you can just not show up and you’ll be good. Also i been wanting to tell that story for a long time lol.
