What if Luke Smith is The real problem with this game?

Luke Smith directed the taken king which I think was an all time high for D1.

I find it interesting some people remember Taken King so fondly, since it was considered a low when it released. House of Wolves was beloved because it made old content relevant and had 1:1 infusion, where as Taken King made all old raids irrelevant and introduced percentage based infusion. The raid was also viewed as too long and tedious, with many people listing it as their least favorite besides Leviathan and/or Crota. It was also panned for some of the design choices, like Sleeper was just time gated and frustrating exotic quests (PVP sword kills, finding sword mats, using that crappy pistol in PVP, forced to used TLW in PVP, etc). Taken King also marked the launch of Eververse, plus poorly thought out things like artifacts, something that was originally impossible to get at max level, and the terrible 320 level system.

The only parts that were actually praised was the amount of content, largely due to the new patrol area, the move to events and introduction of hidden exotic quests like Black Spindle.
