What if the Shows Were Targeted Towards an Older Audience?

I really don't see any way for them to seriously portray the struggles and dangers of war, showing up close shots of fights and battles, without getting people injured. In a cartoon you can get away with no person in the series ever getting burned by fire and instead merely getting knocked away, but if they go a similar route for the live action series it will be a disaster. Imagine how ridiculously the scene in the book 1 finale where Iroh knocks out Zhaos soldiers would look with real fire.

I always thought Jets sword were the epitome of the kid friendly fighting style, because if Jet would actually try to harm someone with those swords of his instead of just making them fall on the ground, things would get very ugly.

For those reasons alone I hope it will be a series at least aimed at slightly older teenagers. There is no reason to make a live action version but to keep the target audience the same, the series is produced by Netflix so that is where their target audience will be.
