Why would anyone say something like this without any kind of proof? "We are here because you tried to kill Baine without even a trial" sounds nice. You are assuming that those rogues were incompetent because they failed. I guess we should assume that Lyana is an incompetent too because she failed killing Saurfang, right? Also this doesn't change the fact that she tried to kill him.
