What if a white person gets beat up by black people? GOTCHA, SJW!

Look, I'm willing to concede a lot in this discussion.

I absolutely agree -- absolutely, 100% -- that the system in America is structured in a way that people who are white are at an inherent advantage, and that people of color are at a significant disadvantage socially and economically because of this. And I will agree that minorities do not have access to the same level of institutional power that white people have, and that the history of minorities in America creates a disadvantage that goes across generations. And I will agree that when a black person says "I hate white people" it carries a significantly smaller impact than when a white person says the same thing about black people. I agree with all of this.

What we'll just have to disagree on (and I have enjoyed and appreciated this conversation, I really have) is that racism on a personal level should not be considered an part of the inherent definition of racism. We have varying degrees of love -- love between family, friends, love between someone and his/her partner -- all of which we would consider different aspects of the same thing. We have varying degrees of homicide -- manslaughter, and various legal definitions for murder -- again, different aspects of the same thing.

What I won't concede is that it is impossible for a someone in America who is ethnically a minority to say or do something racist against someone who is white when what they're saying or doing is driven purely by the color of the other person's skin. I'll agree with you on everything I posted above, but I won't agree with you on this because I just think it's bullshit and I do think it gives a pass to minorities when someone says something like "White masculinity is the problem" or "I won't patronize white-owned businesses."

In any case, even though I've had a poor attitude in some of my comments, I've appreciated you discussing it with me. Cheers.
