What I'm doing to put my online news site on a businesslike footing

So you need to think about the revenue you can raise selling ads for a website. Targeted campaigns are popular now but also coming under more scrutiny due to ethical concerns. Still the cost per view is an insanely low amount and that's worth highly detailed targeting. Selling display on one website even with 1,000,000+ views and a dozen ad spots won't raise much revenue for more than a single person and definitely not a staff of freelancers. Have you done the math for what you need to sell to break even? Assume $0.0001 per view. How many ad spots do you have, how much money do you need to turn a profit and now how much traffic do you need to make that goal?
