What was "the incident" in your high school?

For our senior week, we planned to have an overnight campout on our school's softball/soccer practice field. Our class was told by our student class council that everyone was invited and that the campout was approved by teachers and that it would start at 7 pm after yearbook signings. Over half of the class showed up, even the kids who you wouldn't expect to attend an event like this, and of course there was drinking and drug use. Pong tables were set up, tents were set up, and hella speakers were blasting. Everything was going well and even one of our school's security guards partook in the festivities.

I left with some friends at around 2 am cuz I wasn't sleeping on a field when I could sleep in my bed. I woke up the next morning with a couple of texts and missed calls from friends and then proceeded to read our group chats. From what I've gathered from talking to teachers and students, the police were called three times, once by a parent, once by an Uber driver, and once by that darn security guard. I don't know how true this part is, but the police apparently secured the school's exits at around 4 am, I'm guessing to stop drunk drivers. Around that time the cops woke up the remaining kids on the field and breathalyzed them. They were starting to record names but realized there were so many kids there it wasn't worth the effort. Some kids were scared shitless and tried to run others got caught lol. The police made everyone call their parents to pick them up, if they were still intoxicated, that's why I received some phone calls/texts.

The aftermath resulted in the teachers having to clean up our mess, which I'm sure the remaining kids would've cleaned up if they weren't told to leave, and an iconic picture of all our beverages, so much Cheerwine. Lucky for us tho, the next day was our already planned senior skip day. Ngl learning about the school's reaction was kinda funny. The junior class basically lost the freedom we had for their future senior week. Anyways, the aftermath resulted in an assembly of just the senior class where our livid principal told us to self-report ourselves to our AD by signing a list at lunch. Then on the last day of school, we were required to show up to school and do maintenance work on the school. Not ideal, but better than rumors going around of not being able to walk at graduation or getting trespassed. Most people I talked to after didn't have any regrets.
