Went to a sorta intership program at an army camp in Denmark, it was mostly my class but some other kids too. They ran us through the basic stuff for the first few days and it was though but nice.

The 4th day we got to go to an indoor range to fire the standard issue pistol which at the time was a Sig p210. We got run through a lot of safety stuff since we would be firing live ammo and people kinda semi joked around while it was going on. This kid who's dad was in the army was standing and bragging to some girls about his dad or something related to that and accidentally shot himself in the throat. He died shortly after that and no-one from that class ever heard from the parents.
