What do you think India will be like post-Modi?

Probably your info is half baked, US doesnt extract oil from US ground because the labor costs are high(They have too much oil reserves).

For the US it is much cheaper to extract oil from Mexico, Venezuela or Canada compared to extraction from their own soil.

Also US is heavily investing in clean energy. US has set target of 2035 to move away to clean energy (I think all developed countries have a target of 2035). Whereas India and China have asked upto 2060 so India probably needs to worry more.

OPEC can't do shit. US requested, OPEC declined. US is putting more money to extract oil from its own soil.US is a net exporter or oil, Unlike India who is oure importer.
