What job do you have? How much do you earn? And how happy are you in your job?

I would say my typical day is into the office at 0930, home anywhere between 2030 and 2300. Occasionally my colleagues will work into the early hours, but I haven't had to yet (touch wood), but only been at this firm a few months. Weekends tend to be interrupted by my work phone, rather than working full days, but every now and again you will lose a weekend. And my hours are probably nothing compared to some guys who work in PE or IB.

Health is sacrificed because finding the time for hobbies and the gym is hard, and it is a sedentary lifestyle where I eat my dinner at my desk more often than not. Weekends come around and you are knackered, and spend your weekends sleeping late, eating out and drinking rather than doing anything more fulfilling or healthy.

I am in a long-term relationship, but my girlfriend is also a lawyer so we don't see each other much during the week. If you were single, it would be difficult to date - it's close to impossible to make plans on a weekday, as you cannot commit to leaving on time. Even weekend plans can get interrupted at short notice.
